Spanish Course Activities in Valencia Las Fallas (15th – 19th March)
During the week of San José, Valencia honours its patron saint with a spectacular fiesta of light, color, fire, fireworks and music known as “Las Fallas”. Thousands of people descend on Valencia to enjoy the spectacle from all over the world.
Noche de San Juan (night of the 23 rd June)
Also known as the “Noche de las Brujas”, the night of San Juan sees people flock to the sea's edge to dip their feet in the water, since legend dictates that this will make their wishes come true! The party continues into the night on the beach!
Feria de Julio (entire month of July)
A month of outdoor celebrations and festivals in Valencia along the Paseo de la Alameda and in the Jardines de Viveros. Music concerts, bullfights and the traditional “Batalla de Flores” add to the festive atmosphere in the streets.
Día de la Comunidad Valenciana (9th October)
A fiesta with historical roots, the Valencianos celebrate the conquest of their city. Tradition dictates that women receive a gift of a handkerchief and marzipan fruits.
